Additional Qualifications
Since becoming a teacher, I've had numerous opportunities to expand my knowledge through many different related positions which have helped me become a better teacher. Those opportunities at Avilla included working as the district testing coordinator and gifted coordinator. In Joplin I have worked with writing curriculum as well as with the following professional organizations: Missouri State Teachers Association, National Council of Teachers of English, International Reading Association, Alpha Delta Kappa Upsilon chapter, the district Professional Development Committee, and the district Career Ladder committee. In addition, I have scored MAP tests for DESE two times and advised the state on the test to become a Missouri teacher.
